(Detroit Pistons) – Does your library or gym need a new look?

Here’s your chance to win a makeover in the School Makeover contest from the Detroit Pistons and NBA Live, Learn or Play, presented by Farm Bureau Insurance.

The School Makeover, presented by Farm Bureau Insurance and the Detroit Pistons, is accepting submissions from elementary and middle schools in the state of Michigan, through June 1. Submissions at www.nba.com/pistons/farm-bureau-school-makeover should include at least four images of the school’s library or gymnasium to be considered in the selection process.

It's Tigers time at the Boat & Canoe Club

Legion Members, Mark your calendar for the Opening Day Party for the Detroit Tigers at the Boat & Canoe Club in Grand Rapids. The party starts at 4:00pm on Monday, April 1st and $5 will get you in the door for a big variety of Baseball Food, included.

The highlight at the 7th inning, besides the Tigers winning the game, will be the big raffle of the “Tub of Fun”. This tub is loaded with everything you can imagine to have fun. There are Tigers sweatshirts & T-Shirts, gift cards, caramel corn, soft sided cooler, hats and a big variety of spirits and libations, a $500 value. Tickets for this tub are $5 or 3 for $10, available at the club. You do not have to be present to win this great prize.

The Sea to Sea 2013 Bike Tour is a nine week, 3,900-mile cycling trek across North America designed to raise awareness and funds in support of those living in poverty around the world.

Sea to Sea is a non-profit organization headquartered near 28th Street and Kalamazoo in Kentwood. The Sea to Sea 2013 Bike Tour follows the shape and format of similar cycling projects hosted by the Christian Reformed Church in 2005 and 2008, which raised millions of dollars to send to local, national and international agencies fighting poverty.
