Chamber prepares for the annual end of summer event

Wyoming-Kentwood, MI (January 12, 2011) – The annual event has grown through the years to over 300,000 visitors and over 15,000 vehicles. Last year, with beautiful weather, the event hosted record breaking numbers. Organizers are looking for an even larger turnout this year. There has been momentum within the 28th Street merchants’ community to increase event participation. Many of the businesses are reaching out to the visitors and welcoming them with specials, activities and event oriented activities. The Metro Cruise® was started as a method of helping businesses along the 28th Street corridor when highway M-6 opened.

This year’s venues are currently under development.
