GRPD car hits pole, officer injured | News

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A Grand Rapids Police Officer is on his way home tonight after a brief hospitalization following a crash in southeast Grand Rapids.

Commanders says the officer crashed into a utility pole at the corner of Eastern Avenue and Ardmore Street around 8 p.m. Monday.

The officer was responding to a call involving shots fired in the area when he crashed into the pole.

The officer hit his head on the dashboard camera which required a few staples at the hospital.
