News

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police are investigating a stabbing on the city's Southeast Side, but the victim isn't providing much insight, they say.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, was stabbed twice in the abdomen in an area near Union Avenue and Hall Street, Grand Rapids Police Lt. Matthew Ungrey confirmed. Police responded to the scene just before 8 a.m. Sunday.

The man was taken to Mercy Health Saint Mary's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the man isn't being cooperative, and they aren't exactly sure where the stabbing occurred nor have they identified any suspects.

Anyone with information about the incident can call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 616-456-3337.
