G.R. police searching for 4 suspects in Sunday shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police are investigating a shooting on Grand Rapids' Southeast side after a victim showed up at the hospital.

Police say it happened near the intersection of Quigley St. and S. Division around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Early reports indicate that the 20-year-old victim was with two other men in a car when they were approached by four black men on foot. After a verbal confrontation, one of the suspects fired a gun into the car, hitting the victim in the chest.

The driver, who was uninjured, drove to an area hospital, where the victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects fled and have not been located.
