Woman dies after being hit by three cars in G.R.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- A woman has died of injuries from being hit by three cars while crossing the street.

Police said Marcia Dean, 53, was trying to cross 28th St. near Kalamazoo around 9 p.m. Thursday. She was hit with a glancing blow by the first car, thrown into the side of another car, and run over by a third car. All three crashes happened in the westbound lanes.

Dean was taken to Mercy Health Saint Mary's in critical condition after the crash. She passed away shortly before 8 a.m. Friday. A close relative was with her when she passed, police said.
