Season Changes and Outdoor Activities

Season Changes and Outdoor Activities

The first snowfall of the season brings new ideas for still getting exercise during our winter months along with enjoying the beauty of nature.

For people who take advantage of the wonderful walking and biking trails that are available to all of us at no charge, now is the time to reprogram ourselves not only for walking but maybe some cross country skiing on some of the same trails.

In looking through different websites I saw advertisements for winter snow tires for bikes. I did not know this was something that was even available.

Pick out a trail; they are all mapped out at Kent County Parks Department on line where you can print off a map. Kent County has 5 main access trails at Johnson Park, John Ball Park, Douglas Walker Park and Millennium Park
