GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Mel Trotter Ministries) – In partnership with over fifty churches in the Greater Grand Rapids area, Mel Trotter Ministries will celebrate the re-opening of its newly renovated Men’s Chapel on April 28.

The Men’s Chapel renovation began December 2012 and was re-opened March 2013.  With the new changes, the chapel has upgraded the lighting and sound systems to better equip its services.  The chapel has expanded its capacity to 250 people.  This room has been made more conducive to a multi-purpose use while still maintaining its primary intention of offering nightly Chapel services to emergency shelter men.  As with the Chapel before its renovations, it will be used to sleep overflow men from Mel Trotter’s Emergency Shelter.

Mel Trotter Ministries has renamed the Men’s Chapel the Bob and Betty Kregel Chapel. Bob and Betty Kregel have long been supporters of Mel Trotter Ministries

“Mel Trotter Ministries is incredibly grateful to the local churches that have partnered with us to make this renovation possible,” said Reverend Chico Daniels, President and CEO of Mel Trotter. “The men’s chapel remodeling is a step in the right direction to instill confidence in our male clients, that we, at Mel Trotter, care for them and will continue to provide the hospitable environment for them as our guests. We are all anticipating the work that God will do in this new space.”

Mel Trotter Ministries will be holding a dedication service for the re-opening of the newly renovated Bob and Betty Kregel Chapel on April 28. The service will include a ceremony for donors of the project, business and community leaders as well as churches that have partnered with Mel Trotter to make this renovation possible.
