Spring Parade of Homes sees record traffic

The Home Builders Association of Greater Grand Rapids says the 2013 Spring Parade of Homes is seeing record traffic.

The organization says more than 50,000 people have toured homes so far.  The Spring Parade of Homes runs through June 8.  Remodeled homes will be open for touring June 7 and June 8 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This year’s event showcases 66 new homes, three remodeled homes and six virtual homes from 15 communities, including Ada, Allendale, Belmont, Byron Center, Caledonia, Cascade, East Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids, Grandville, Hudsonville, Jenison, Kentwood, Lowell, Montague and Rockford.  Homes on the tour range in price from  $100,000 to over $1 million.

Tickets to the Spring Parade of Homes are available at the homes, at Option One Credit Union or on the event website.  Prices range from $10 for people ages 13 and up to $20 for the VIP Tour pass.  Children ages 12 and under are free.
