Free Christmas tree recycling starts Jan. 2nd in GR

Free Christmas tree recycling starts Jan. 2nd in GR

The city of Grand Rapids is once again offering free Christmas tree recycling.

From January 2nd through January 26th, you can drop off your tree at one of three locations:

  • Riverside Park north Entrance - 2001 Monroe Avenue NE
  • JAYCEE McKay Family Park - 2531 Kalamazoo Avenue SE
  • Huff Park - 2286 Ball Avenue NE

Collection hours will be from 7am to 7pm, Monday through Sunday.

Remove all ornaments, tinsel, nails, tree stands and any other decorations or plastic bags.

You can also dispose of your tree by attaching a purple Bulk Yard Waste tag and place it at the curb on your regular collection day.
