Celebrated Service: The top business picks by patrons

ADA, Mich.—Six small businesses that have won over patrons will soon be honored on the big screen.

Celebration Cinema recently announced the winners of its 2015 Celebrated Service Award.  The latest winners include Wolfgang’s Restaurant in Grand Rapids, Sweet Spot Disc Golf in Muskegon and Crow’s Nest restaurant in Portage.  Other honorees include Hair Innovations & Day Spa in Benton Harbor, Golden Harvest in Lansing and Mitchell’s Gourmet Deli & Market in Mount Pleasant.

Celebration Cinema says the public cast 36,400 votes for this year’s finalists.

“People love places that make them feel special,” said Emily Loeks, director of Community Affairs at Celebration Cinema. “We consider the huge response of voting and storytelling in our communities to be part of a movement that recognizes the importance of great service.  We believe that business can contribute to stronger communities by responding with creativity and genuine care to the people they serve. We wanted to get people talking about places that really work hard at this!”

The six businesses will be awarded more than $360,000 in prizes, including an advertisement during movie previews at all Celebration Cinemas, movie watch parties and specialized business training and consulting.
