GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--  Plans to transform two properties in Grand Rapids will go before the East Hills Council of Neighbors Board Monday night.

The new owner of 701 Wealthy St. SE wants to transform the former service station into a restaurant.  The plans call for an addition off the west side of the building.  Because the property is located in the Cherry Hill Historic District, the Historic Preservation Commission and Planning Commission will have to approve the plans before construction can move forward.

The developer of 921 Cherry SE will present their plans for building a mixed-use, four-level building on the southern section of the parking lot between Grove and Brewery Vivant.  The new space is expected to include space for stores as well as three residential condominiums and an on-site parking garage.  Because the property is located in the Fairmount Square Historic District, the proposed plan will need approval for the Historic Preservation Commission.

The board meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. at the East Hills office, located at 131 Eastern Ave. SE. The public is invited to attend.
