GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Grand Rapids Public Schools are looking for families who would like to host international exchange students during the next school year.

Several students from overseas will be attending school in the fall, as part of the districts efforts to expand its global education program. The following teenagers are need places to stay:

  • An 18-year-old girl from Italy who will be attending Ottawa Hills High School for one semester, starting in September.  Her hobbies are golf and tennis.
  • A 15-year-old boy from Germany who will be attending Innovation Central High School.  He enjoys sports, especially ice hockey.
  • A 16-year-old girl from Norway, who will be attending Union High School.  Her hobbies include attending sporting events and travel.

Hosts receive a monthly stipend to cover the expenses of providing room, board and a safe and comfortable environment for the exchange student.  For more information about the program, contact Educatius at 1(800) 301-6014.
