GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.---Experience Grand Rapids, the official destination marketing organization for Kent County, recently announced the launch of its new personalized travel planning website, www.GRCityTwist.com.

The new interactive website targets 18 different interests, from “art lovers” to “thrill seekers”, allowing the visitor to customize their trip.  For example, craft beer enthusiasts can find breweries to explore, activities and nightlife related to craft beer, and accommodations for the weekend.

EXGR launched the new, mobile-friendly website on Dec. 17 at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park with the hospitality community, business and political leaders, and its Certified Tourism Ambassadors.

“Compared to 2012, we saw an increase of 70 percent in new visitors to our ExperienceGR.com mobile site, which means more visitors are using smart phones and tablets to research the destination,” said Experience Grand Rapids President Doug Small. “With the creation of GRCityTwist.com, we are providing the visitor with a 24/7 concierge tool, right at their fingertips offering personalized suggestions in a digital format.”

“With so many travelers today using a mobile device or tablet, the GR City Twist will be a great platform to aid travelers in not only finding where places are located relative to their location; but also finding places that are curated based off of the favorite interest they select,” said Experience Grand Rapids Board Chair Tim Pietryga.
