WALKER, Mich.— Last year, organizers of "POMA for Pets" raised $6,000 for the Humane Society of West Michigan; this year they hope to beat that number, with the help of dancing dogs.

“POMA for Pets"  is presented by the Professional Orchestral Musicians Association of Grand Rapids (POMA-GR) and includes musical performances, dancing dogs and a tribute to service dogs.

The event is sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. John D’Asaro, Ada Hospital for Animals and Whiskers Resort and Pet Spa.

The event will take place Sunday, July 21 at 3 p.m. at Wealthy Street Theatre, located at 1130 Wealthy St. SE in Grand Rapids. Children age five and under are free; tickets are $25 each for everyone else.  Visitors who bring in a donation for Kibble Konnection can get a free pop and bag of popcorn from the concession stand.

For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact organizer Martha Bowman at (616) 363-9716 or bocalmom@comcast.net
